Abstract

A low-priced polyhedron construction set is made, in which struts made of plastic straws are jointed with laminated paper nodes. Paper nodes designed for constructing Platonic solids and three dimensional tetra-directional node for diamond structure are illustrated. This modeling set is useful for understanding three dimensional structures in crystals, molecules and mathematical polyhedra.
